How to Enable eCommerce Tracking in Google Analytics

Are you looking to track eCommerce sales data for your WooCommerce, MemberPress, or Easy Digital Downloads store? Follow this guide to learn how to enable eCommerce tracking in your Google Analytics account.

Prerequisites:

  1. You’re an ExactMetrics Pro user or higher.
  2. ExactMetrics is installed and authenticated with Google Analytics.
  3. You have your WooCommerce, MemberPress, LifterLMS or Easy Digital Downloads plugin installed and activated.

Log into your Google Analytics at analytics.google.com and select the correct property (website) that you’d like to enable eCommerce tracking for:

 

Open the Admin page:

 

Within the View column, click Ecommerce Settings:

 

In the first step, for the option Enable Ecommerce, slide from off to on. Click Next Step.

 

In step two, we recommend turning on Enhanced Ecommerce Settings. If you haven’t set up enhanced reporting yet, view our guide: How to enable enhanced eCommerce in WordPress.

The last step is to click on Submit.

 

You did it! You enabled eCommerce tracking in Google Analytics.
